Maintenance & Repairs

When the installation of outdoor synthetic surfaces has been done properly in the first place, maintenance will be minimised.
Exhaust blowing material such as leaves, dirt, sand, bark etc on a regular basis will stop the synthetic grass and rubber getting clogged up.

Avoid hoses where possible as they disturb sand height.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Repairs

We repair all damaged outdoor surfaces.

Split Seams

Because of the product and process Grundy Synthetic Surfaces uses, split seams are rare. However, the earlier that these are repaired the better the outcome.

In most occurrences, the entire seam will have to be reglued. If the grass has moved or shrunk, the void will then have to be filled with grass that will not colour match.

Erosion

Once again, the correct installation will prevent erosion from occurring. This comes from water concentrating in one area washing away the base causing a cavity. Simply filling this cavity is not enough the cause of the high concentration of water has to be addressed. Some further drainage issues may need to be addressed.

Tree Looping

When tree loppers arrive, ensure they lay suitable timber ply under tree to prevent branches piercing the product.

Tree Roots

This is the biggest problem of them all. Tree roots grow under the product in search of water. Using the correct installation technique developed by Grundy Synthetic Surfaces these can be substantially reduced. If they appear they must be removed ASAP to avoid damage to the product and to the safety of others.
